Prof.P. Seshadri17 Nov 2016 My entire family bows its head in acknowledging the contribution of your medical and nursing teams in putting my wife back to her feet in good health.
Dear Mrs. Mallika Mohandas,
Let me admit that I was happy to have met you (despite the pressure on your time) on the 4th evening after my wife was discharged. Not many must have had the privilege of such a meaningful interaction.
I landed at Chennai on 22nd October and came directly to meet the doctor around noon. My first impression was here is a doctor who wanted to hide nothing nor give great hopes. He was absolutely factual, professionally understanding and competent, and let me know the pros and cons of my wife’s illness and the medical interventions and therapy that may be necessary, and the probable consequences. He let me meet my wife in the CICU for a short while and I could tell her that she was under the most competent hands and she just has to go by what the medical team advised. She too felt the same and said she will respond positively and with confidence.
The two-week stay in MICU/CICU/Ward was worth it for the simple reason that the critical care doctors’ team and the nursing team at all levels went about their job with professional maturity, integrity, expertise and hope. And they did not at any time give the impression that they were engaged in a losing battle. And the way they explained the reports and communicated gave us a sense of comfort and hope.
My entire family bows its head in acknowledging the contribution of your medical and nursing teams in putting my wife back to her feet in good health – she was wheeled in on a stretcher and she could walk out of the hospital in good health. Our humble salute to doctors of Critical Care and the nursing sisters (the ‘foot-soldiers’ of the hospital). Your PRO team with whom we dealt were very courteous, warm, polite and helpful.
We are grateful to all for their sense of duty with care.
Warm regards and best wishes to all of you,
Latha Jagannath12 Nov 2016 At the outset, I would like to thank the entire staff and Dr. Prithvi for the wonderful care that was rendered during my stay at MIOT.
I am amazed that every time I am at MIOT I walk away with a richer and greater feeling of satisfaction that my decision to come to MIOT was the best and only option. Your signature which says “Putting patients first”, is very true & apt.
While the entire staffs has been giving great care, I would really like to pen down a few names who made the difference to make my stay very comfortable and a feeling of genuine care. Maybe you have some award / reward program which helps recognise such great souls.
ICU – Sisters Kalai Vani, Monica, Tilaka & Priya – absolute gems
Melvin – ICU Physiotherapist – the best I have seen in MIOT so far and another gem.
A very special mention of Ayah’s especially Sudha who works tirelessly and having patients comfort first. Malar and Selvi had their own special contribution. Bless them all.
Sister Elizabeth and Physiotherapist Kavitha.
PRO Sajini who ensured that everything was taken care however small the complaint.
A very special mention of Dr. Prithvi’s secretary Deepa whose help and support was seamless and smooth throughout from admission to discharge and many small gestures that baffled me and strengthened my belief that I had come to the best hospital despite my association with MIOT for the last 21 years. I dare not go anywhere else and never will.
And last but not the least, Dr. Prithvi – whose the best doctor I’ve come across and whom I completely trust knowing I am in safe hands. Can’t find words to express. Only appreciation & blessings.
Thanks to all the other staff who have directly or indirectly helped me during my stay at MIOT and to you Maa’m and Dr. Mohandas who are the pillars of MIOT.
May you all stay BLESSED always.
With Warm Regards,
Ganesan V10 Nov 2016 Exemplary attention and service to the patients with a human touch.

A special thanks to the “C” Ward Sisters, Junior Nursing Staff and the support staff for the excellent care and attention rendered to my sister.
Word of gratitude to the Front Office Staff Deborah and her Colleague, the personnel secretaries of Dr. Palaniappan and Dr Karthik for going the extra mile to assist, a great experience. Mrs. Vimalaramani03 Oct 2016 I really appreciate the discipline you have established with kindness and understanding.
Respected Mrs. Mallika Mohandas,
Ten years back my left knee replacement surgery was done by Dr Barry. When I met him again after a decade he still remembered me. That was a great moment in my life. Such is the tradition in your institution, which makes us to be always with you.
When I visited again last week, on 26th September, with a constant pain in my right shoulder, I met Dr. Mohandas. It was an immense relief to me and felt that at last I will be permanently cured. Personally, he is a living legend for me. After examining me, he sent me to Dr. Ram Chidambaram. He said that Dr. Ram is a specialist in shoulder ailments.
On 27th September, I underwent Arthroscopy of my right shoulder. I thank Dr. Ram for his kindness in putting me at peace and comfort before the surgery. He had in fact personally informed our only daughter who is in US about the successful completion of the operation.
The constant care taken in the postoperative ward even to the extent of attending to my urinary requirements throughout the night with patience is remarkable. The constant attendance by the doctors and the care givers in the room is excellent. I must mention the importance given to the exercise regimen by Dr. Shail and physiotherapist Ms. Vandana in seeing to it that I do them in the order and also correctly.
I must thank Ms. Asifa (PRO), who coordinated with all the departments for all our requirements with a smiling face. Mr. Suresh of the Insurance department had done an excellent job in getting the sanction required promptly.
Finally, I really appreciate the discipline you have established but implemented with kindness and understanding.
God bless you, Dr. Mohandas and your family,
Srinath07 Sep 2016 The entire hospital doctors, nurses and admin staff everyone was very helpful and supportive. I am convinced that no other team in India and probably the world could have saved my Mother.
My mother Shobhana (74) was admitted on July 13th in septic shock. Her BP was 70/50. Liver and kidney function were poor (Urea 180, Creatinine 2.7) due to papillary necrosis caused by E-Coli UTI that resulted in urosepsis. Dr Ravichandran’s Nephrology team and Dr Nishith’s medical ICU team worked tirelessly to save her. After 12 days in ICU and about 3 weeks in the ward she is now recovered.
I am convinced that no other team in India and probably the world could have saved her and we are eternally grateful. I was very impressed with their doctors, facilities and patient care. In fact the entire hospital (Doctors, Nurses, Admin staff… everyone) was very helpful and supportive during this very tough time for us.
Thank you MIOT
