Dr. M.RAM MOHAN MBBS, MS (ORTHO), FIAP18 Dec 2015 “It is because of your hospital & international standards my father is back today I’m more than happy that we have a hospital like MIOT in south India with international standards & protocol.”
Respected Dr. Mohandas sir,
I’m Dr. Ram Mohan MBBS, M.S (Ortho) from Coimbatore i have sent this mail to thank
you & your team in MIOT for saving my father’s life. My father Dr. Marimuthu (Anesthetist from Coimbatore) met with an accident on Se 14/ 2015 & sustained bilateral rib fractures with ARDS & was initially admitted in KOVAI MEDICAL CENTRE & HOSPITAL COIMBATORE. HE WAS IN ICU AT COIMBATORE & he was on ventilator for 3 weeks there was minimal / no progress in his health. I spoke to Dr. AJITH BR through some contacts about my father’s status & i explained him the difficulty in his progress. DR.AJITH BR suggested me to shift my father to MIOT & he told me that MIOT would be the only hospital which can save my father’s life.
I shifted & air lifted my father (with ventilator support) to MIOT on Oct 9th 2015 by an AIR AMBULANCE ALL THE WAY FROM COIMBATORE to Chennai & Dr. AJITH BR & his team was waiting for us in the airport for hours together to receive us. Once my father was received by Dr. Ajith we had a big relief & hope that MIOT will save my father. I was surprised by the way ICU is maintained & next day i met Dr. Nisith & i spoke to him. I was more than happy with the assurance Dr. Nisith & Dr. Ajith gave me & within a couple of days my father was out of ventilator & was on oxygen mask & within a week he was out of all infections. The care Dr. Nisith & Dr. Ajith gave us was tremendous & excellent & even the other consultants were very polite & helpful. I have not seen this kind of STATE OF ART ICU IN MY LIFE & the sterility protocols in MIOT are on par with any other hospital in abroad. I did my arthroplasty fellowship in Belgium & even there i have not seen an ICU like this first time when i entered the ICU during visiting hours i was surprised seeing the infrastructure which was beyond my expectations & the nursing care was excellent & needed investigations were done within 10 minutes.
IT IS BECAUSE OF YOUR HOSPITAL & INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS , MY FATHER IS BACK TODAY
IM MORE THAN HAPPY THAT WE HAVE A HOSPITAL LIKE MIOT IN SOUTH INDIA WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS & PROTOCOL ….ITS BECAUSE OF MIOT I HAD AN OPPURTUNITY TO SAVE MY FATHER .
I need to thank your PRO’s Ms. MEGHALA & MS. VINOTHITHA FOR THER HOSPITALITY & CARE. My family couldn’t meet you & chief to express our gratitude in person. Thank you very much FOR ESTABLISHING SUCH A WONDERFUL HOSPITAL WITH DEDICATED TEAM & PROVIDING INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS. YOUR HARD WORK ALL THESE YEARS HAS GIVEN MY FATHER LIFE AGAIN. THANK YOU SIR.
Dr. M.RAM MOHAN MBBS, MS (ORTHO), FIAP

She did an outstanding job of having a close watch on the records of the shifting patients and also informing the corresponding attending doctors."
A great privilege to write this appreciation email for the efforts of your staff Ms. Deborah (PRO – International block). Our guy Dr. Sridhatan C Ph.D. is currently admitted in your hospital for acetabulum fracture. He met with an accident in Malaysia. I own healthcare companies in two different countries, (Malaysia and United States). We work on Nano medicine. This week due to natural calamity, the entire state of Tamil Nadu was affected and the capital city was more badly affected. Your entire team was on high alert and your staff Ms. Deborah was no exception. On Nov 17th (Tuesday) she was assigned a herculean task of shifting patients to keep them comfortable. My guy was also in the list. She did an outstanding job of having a close watch on the records of the shifting patients and also informing the corresponding attending doctors. She continuously updated her supervisors of the shifting patient’s information’s. Bottom-line never once our guy felt the annoyance of shifting. Great job by Ms. Deb and her team.
May her tribe prosper, flourish and propagate.

Captain Sekar14 Nov 2015 I am glad I chose MIOT for my treatment amongst the choices I had. I have recovered well during the past 3 months and back to my defence consultancy work, all of which I owe to MIOT and lots to Dr. Sreekumar Pillai and his team.
Thank you very much. As I have this opportunity, I would like to share with you that your Hospital looked after me indeed very well right through my treatment and op on 19 Aug 2015. Everyone, yes everyone, of your doctors, nurses and staff is highly professional, committed and focused on the tasks in hand. And extremely sensitive to patient requirements with human and humane touch. So, I am glad I chose MIOT for my treatment amongst the choices I had. I have recovered well during the past 3 months and back to my defence consultancy work, all of which I owe to MIOT and lots to Dr. Sreekumar Pillai and his team.
Once again, Sir, thank you for your kind help.
With best wishes and cordial regards.
Titus Jebakumar G11 Nov 2015 The doctors (at MIOT) showed ... great ... interest in me and curing my health disorder.
I really had a good time in MIOT. The doctors showed me their great love and interest in me and curing my health disorder. The rooms were very spacious and homely. The care shown for me through nurses was really outstanding. The food given was very good. The care showed by the Nurses was awesome. Altogether I felt MIOT like my own HOUSE. I would surely refer my friends to MIOT in future. And I would like to thank each and every person who cared for me.

Soundravalli Kulandaiswamy11 Nov 2015 What impressed me most was that this kind of internationally comparable standard is available not only for the rich but for the common man what I have observed during my many visits to this hospital. Apparently elitist but practically for all is the greatest virtue I found in this hospital.
Excellent! I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best but perhaps THE best in India so far I have seen. What impressed me most was that this kind of internationally comparable standard is available not only for the rich but for the common man what I have observed during my many visits to this hospital. Apparently elitist but practically for all is the greatest virtue I found in this hospital.
The management, the support staff and all others seem to be uniformly compassionate, caring and kind, a rare trait “not” observed in other big hospitals! Personally I feel MIOT stands as a role model for any Indian hospital to follow– where they have combined the best of both worlds: the state of the art technology and the highest human values. Do we call this perfection? Robert Browning has to answer this question because he said “on the earth the broken arcs in the heaven a perfect round”. I think MIOT has achieved that perfection on this earth! Congratulations to all!

Mr. Ravi05 Nov 2015 “I didn’t think I would walk again! Thank God they finally decided to bring me to MIOT. You have to have skill, experience & facilities to treat a Stroke case effectively. Tomorrow, if I should ever see another person having a Stroke, I have no doubts on what to do. I learnt it the hard way..."
Would Mr. Ravi ever recover from these wrong turns in his Stroke treatment?
When Mr. Ravi, 62 yrs, a diabetic with blood pressure, developed mild weakness in the left side of his body, his family did not realise that a stroke was setting in. They took him to the nearest Nursing home which neither had the facilities nor understood the need for quick treatment. They advised a CT scan at a scanning centre, 8 kms away. Mr. Ravi got weaker, drowsy & finally lost consciousness at the centre. It was only then that his family panicked & rushed him to MIOT International. Why did they wait? Like most of us, they were unaware that a Stroke can damage our brain completely in a very short time, without correct treatment.
How did Mr Ravi go from ‘weak’ to ‘unconscious’?
A clot had stopped blood flow to Mr. Ravi’s brain, and it first affected oxygen supply to the brain cells controlling movement and his movements got weak. As time passed, it affected cells controlling consciousness, which made him drowsy and then unconscious. Without timely treatment, a stroke affects various centres in our brain reducing us to an irreversible, vegetative state.
At MIOT, advanced imaging gives the complete picture
Mr. Ravi got to MIOT quite late – it had been 3 hrs since his symptoms had started. However, our specialists used advanced CT scans with perfusion studies and angiography, available at very few centres, to get the correct status. In just 8 minutes they knew the location and extent of the block and could predict areas of further damage if blood flow to his brain wasn’t restored quickly. This prompt and invaluable data allowed them to draw up the correct Treatment Plan despite the time lost.
Mechanical Thrombectomy, an advanced procedure used by leading centres worldwide with a 79% success rate, was performed to reverse damage.
Racing against time to restore blood flow
Mr. Ravi was shifted quickly to our dedicated NeuroCath lab, where our renowned Neuro Endovascular specialist got to work. Within minutes, he had accessed the blocked blood vessel. Then, using a special microcatheter and a stent retriever, he trapped and removed the clot causing the block. Blood flow restored, our patient was transferred to the dedicated Stroke Unit for further treatment.
A remarkable recovery
Mr. Ravi’s recovery was indeed remarkable. At the end of one week, 40% movement had returned to the side affected by his stroke. He was discharged and continued physiotherapy at home under instructions from doctors at MIOT. Two weeks later, he had made a 90% recovery and was up and about! A result rarely seen among such severely affected patients.
