Awareness on heart disease &risk factors is not always a known factor amongst public.Studies have shown that 90% of heart disease cases are completely preventable by modifying diet and lifestyle factors.There are approximately 60 different types of heart diseasesand the growth is highest in the younger age group between 25-40 yrs.

We don’t realise that Heart disease can affect anypart of the heart – its muscles, valves, electrical systems or bloodvessels. And it can happen at any time or any age because mostof the time we don’t recognise the signals of the build-up.We can detect, prevent or stop it at an early stage withadvanced Interventional Cardiology, provided theprocedures are done by trained specialists with the rightfacilities. The MIOT Centre for Interventional Cardiology focuses on providing patient friendly solutions that treat heart disease completely and protect the patient’s long term quality of life.

The “Get a MIOT Status update on your Heart” Initiativeat Medical Expohas benefited more than 6000 visitors creating awareness to take steps on early intervention. This exceptional awareness programhas exhorted the public to take a proactive role in their heart health to prevent or minimize illness in the future.

As an extension to this initiative MIOT International offered a FREE ECHO & a 2nd opinion consultation with experienced Interventional Cardiologists for more than 500 registrants. The Initiative was further supported byan awareness exhibition and a focused interactive activity among selected high risk target groups.

The MIOT Poster Quiz on Cardiac awareness– An interactive quiz activity based on the displayed posters on heart function, heart diseases, how to prevent heart disease, etc. Winners were awarded with FREE heart check coupon worth Rs.5000.

The MIOT Rocking Hearts Contest – A Face quiz wherein visitors need to identify famous personalities. Winners were awarded with FREE heart check coupon worth Rs.5000.
