Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for MIOT Hospitals International: MIOT, today (18 June 2009) is laying the foundation for MIOT Hospitals International – a Hospital that will be built and run on International standards to cater to the growing demands for world class health care facilities in India.

It has been the dream and desire of the Management of MIOT Hospitals to provide our people health care facilities of International Standards. To achieve this, MIOT, today is laying the foundation for MIOT Hospitals International – a Hospital that will be built and run on International standards to cater to the growing

demands for world class health care facilities in India. This does not mean the hospital will be beyond the reach of the common man. It is our desire to keep the cost of this hospital as low as possible so that it will be within the reach of common man.

This will be an unique building. MIOT Hospitals International is the first of its kind in India being a green building. The hospital is built to International Standards which will automatically get international accreditation. The hospital will have 450 beds with 12 operation theatres and will house Departments like – Medical & Surgical Oncology, Haematology, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, PET Scans, Organ Transplant Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiology and Neurology. A helipad is being built on top to receive emergencies.

The hospital will be designed by a team of specialist architects after studying the latest global trends. The ambience will be cosmopolitan. Patients will be attended to by an elite team of specialists aided by well trained nurses from the MIOT College of Nursing. “With this, we are going from National to International,” says Prof. Dr. PVA Mohandas, Managing Director MIOT Hospitals, “This is an opportunity for us to put Indian Healthcare on the global map.”

The hospital will treat both Indian and International patients who demand the highest standards in healthcare at a very low cost.

MIOT Multispecialty Hospitals is currently celebrating its 10th year. The hospital known for its innovations like Keyhole and Pinhole Surgery serves patients from all over India and 14 countries around the world.
