Head & Neck Teaching Course

The 2nd AROI-ESTRO Head & Neck Teaching Course is scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 8th of June 2024 at MIOT International, Chennai, India. This course aims to provide recent updates and state-of-the-art knowledge regarding the management of Head & Neck Cancers, focusing particularly on Oropharynx and Nasopharynx Cancers. The event will feature lectures by faculty members from AROI and ESTRO, as well as distinguished local faculties, along with interactive contouring and treatment planning sessions.

  • Who can attend : The course is aimed for the Radiation Oncologists/Medical Physicists, involved in management of head and neck cancers. One Clinician & One Medical Physicist from an institution are encouraged for team participation.

Course Overview

Course Objective
The course aims to create a basic understanding of evidence-based management of Head & Neck Cancers – particularly those of the Oropharynx and Nasopharynx – incorporating the latest advancements. Included in the course are contouring and planning sessions which will help participants enhance their knowledge & hone their IMRT/IGRT planning techniques.
Who Can Participate?
The 3-day course is designed for radiation oncologists and medical physicists involved in the management of Head & Neck Cancers, including treatment and radiotherapy planning. Teams encompassing a clinician and a medical physicist are encouraged to participate in the course.

Learning Outcomes
