Past events at MIOT

On 14 September 2026, MIOT International had the distinct honour of welcoming Her Excellency Ms. Lala Accouche, High Commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles, during her visit to the hospital.

Her Excellency was received by Mrs. Mallika Mohandas, Chairman of MIOT International, and was accompanied by Honorary Consul Mr. M. SeshaSai Mechineni, Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Chennai, India.

During her visit, Her Excellency spent time with Seychellois patients undergoing treatment at MIOT International. She interacted with them personally, listened to their experiences and concerns, and extended warm words of encouragement and reassurance.

For patients receiving medical treatment away from their home country, the presence of a familiar representative and a few moments of personal interaction can offer immense comfort. Her Excellency’s thoughtful engagement reflected the continued commitment of the Seychelles Mission towards the welfare and wellbeing of its citizens receiving medical care in India.

The visit also provided an opportunity to reinforce the importance of ensuring that international patients feel supported not only through advanced medical treatment, but also through compassionate care, clear communication and a reassuring environment throughout their healthcare journey.
