In a landmark achievement for Fiji’s healthcare system, the ongoing partnership between MIOT International, Chennai, India, and Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd, trading as Aspen Medical, continues to redefine access to advanced cardiac care in the country. Through this collaboration, over 300 Fijians have undergone free open-heart surgery at Lautoka Hospital, offering thousands of families renewed hope and healthier futures.
This initiative represents a major step towards strengthening Fiji’s local healthcare capabilities while ensuring that life-saving cardiac treatment is accessible to all, regardless of financial means.

The establishment of advanced cardiac services at Lautoka Hospital has significantly reduced the need for patients to travel overseas for complex heart procedures. - Minimally invasive (keyhole) cardiac procedures
- Diagnostic coronary angiograms
