1st Cardiac Stenting Successfully Performed at Lautoka Hospital, Fiji. A Landmark Achievement in Advanced Cardiac Care
Lautoka Hospital marked a historic milestone in Fiji’s healthcare journey with the successful performance of its first-ever cardiac stenting procedure (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention – PCI) on a 46-year-old patient. This life-saving intervention has given the patient a renewed chance at a healthier life and represents a significant step forward in the nation’s cardiac care capabilities.
The pioneering procedure was carried out by Aspen Medical in collaboration with cardiology experts from MIOT International, at the hospital’s newly established, state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.
