Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What types of medicines can I order for home delivery?

You can order most prescription medicines, chronic care medications, and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. Availability will be confirmed upon sharing your prescription.

2. Is a prescription mandatory?

Yes, a valid prescription is required for all prescription-only medicines. Our licensed pharmacists will verify every order before processing.

3. Who validates my prescription?

Every prescription is reviewed and validated by licensed pharmacists from MIOT Hospitals to ensure correct dosage, drug interactions, and authenticity.

4. What if I have a query about my prescription?

You will be offered a free tele-consultation with a MIOT General Physician (GP) if there are any questions or if the prescription needs clarification or revalidation. You may have to book an appointment with the GP in advance, as per availability and your convenience

5. How do I place an order?

Simply WhatsApp or call our booking line between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and share your prescription. Our team will confirm medicine availability and delivery options.

6. Is medicine delivery really free?

Yes. Next-day delivery is free across the serviceable area. If you need same-day Express Delivery, there is a nominal charge of ₹100.

7. How soon will my medicines be delivered?

  • Next Day Delivery: Free. Orders to be booked before 4:00 PM
  • Same Day Delivery: Available with Express option at ₹100 extra (subject to stock &
    location)

8. What areas do you deliver to?

Delivery is available in and around Chennai city. For specific locations, please contact our support team.

9. Is the service available every day?

Yes, we operate 7 days a week. Deliveries are made on all days except government holidays.

10. How do I make a payment?

You can pay online via a link that will be shared with you by the support team upon confirmation of the order. Details will be shared at the time of confirmation. The invoice copy would be sent to you along with the medicines.

11. Refund Policy / Return Policy for Medicines

  • The Medicine outer wrapper should be intact. (Torn/ opened wrapper medicine will not be accepted).
  • The Customer has to come to the hospital directly to submit the returned medicines along with the original invoice for processing the refund.
  • The return medicine shall be accepted within one month from the date of invoice and the refund would be processed within 7 working days for online payments and 3 working days for UPI/ Cash Payment.  The refund would be remitted to your account. 
  • No return  for special temperature  medicines (Storage between 2*c to 8*c,  Ex, Insulin)

Terms & Conditions – MIOT Home Services

1. Service Availability

  • Home Sample Collection and Medicine Delivery are available within MIOT’s designated service areas.
  • Appointments are subject to the availability of phlebotomists and delivery personnel.

2. Booking & Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp, or helpline.
  • A confirmed appointment will be communicated via SMS/WhatsApp/email.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment can be made online at the time of booking or via secure link before service completion.
  • Cash payments may be accepted at the discretion of MIOT’s representatives.
  • For medicine orders, full payment must be completed before dispatch.

4. Cancellation & Refund

  • Full refund if cancelled at least 12 hours before the scheduled appointment.
  • ₹250 cancellation charge if cancelled after that or when the technician has already reached the location.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.

5. Prescription & Validation (for medicines)

  • Medicines will be delivered only against a valid prescription, verified by a licensed pharmacist.
  • MIOT reserves the right to reject an order if the prescription is invalid or expired.

6. Safety & Quality

  • Phlebotomists follow NABL safety protocols, use sterile, single-use kits, and open sealed packs in front of the patient.
  • Samples are transported in temperature-controlled conditions to maintain integrity.
  • Medicines will be packed and delivered in compliance with MIOT’s quality standards.

7. Delivery Timelines

  • Home sample collection – reports usually within 24 hours for routine tests; special tests may take longer.
  • Medicine delivery – next-day delivery for regular orders; same-day delivery (express) at an additional cost of ₹100 (subject to availability).

8. Reporting

  • Test reports will be sent via WhatsApp/Email by default. Printed copies can be collected from the hospital on request.
  • MIOT is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control (weather, strikes, regulatory checks, etc.).

9. Privacy

  • All personal and health information will be handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • MIOT will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of these services.
